Who we are. Ordering. Orders are placed through checkout and confirmed by email; the sales contract is concluded when we send the order confirmation. Prices are in euros and include VAT at the rate applicable to the delivery country. Shipping costs, when due, are shown at checkout before payment.

Payment. We accept the methods listed at checkout, processed by Shopify Payments. We never store card details.

Availability. Our pieces are produced in small, finite batches. If an item is unavailable, we inform you immediately and refund in full within 14 days.

Delivery. Estimated times and costs by destination are in Shipping & Delivery. Estimates are not guaranteed dates.

Right of withdrawal and returns. You have the legal right to withdraw within 14 days of delivery without giving any reason. In that period a piece that was tried on, handled or has its tags removed is still accepted; only the loss in value caused by handling beyond what is needed to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the piece may be deducted from the refund. We voluntarily extend returns to 30 days; from day 15 onwards the piece must be unworn, with all tags and the original packaging. Returns & Exchanges sets out the detail and who bears the return cost.

Defective items. Portuguese law gives you a legal guarantee of conformity of 3 years from delivery. Contact info@theproductisthehero.com — repair, replacement, price reduction or refund, as provided by law. Independent of our returns policy, never limited by it.

Complaints and disputes. Electronic complaints book: www.livroreclamacoes.pt. Alternative dispute resolution: CICAP — Centro de Informação de Consumo e Arbitragem do Porto (cicap.pt), competent for the Porto metropolitan area, where our registered office is. For consumer disputes up to €5,000, arbitration before CICAP is binding on us.

Law. Portuguese law applies, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
